Having recently returned to her hometown of Calgary, Ronaye is excited to join the Urban Roots Wellness team. Bringing nearly 15 years of experience as a therapist, her approach has always been centered around her client’s natural strengths and ability to heal, grow, and thrive. With a research background in resilience, working with a wide variety of clients and concerns as a Certified Canadian Counsellor, and having facilitated over 500 wellness workshops across Canada, Ronaye is passionate about supporting the innate strengths in every single one of us. As such, her passion for the body-centered approach of Hakomi therapy was born. Hakomi therapy is an experiential method of body-mind therapy that uses a state of mindfulness for assisted self-study. Gentle, respectful, effective, and often even playful, Ronaye loves the Hakomi approach for working with clients with a wide variety of challenges and concerns. She creates a safe, warm, and supportive environment to allow her clients to learn and experience a new way of relating to their world, being guided by their inner wisdom, allowing changes to occur naturally, from the inside out.
