Treatments and Services We offer a wide variety of Services

Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Natural forces within us are the true healers of the body

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) understands the human body with meridians, connections between organs, muscles, nerves, and other systems. TCM is based on knowledge gained and practices refined over thousands of years in China.

We are intrigued by how patients respond quickly and effectively to treatments of acupuncture, and also Chinese herbs. We have successfully treated patients with health problems throughout the whole body: cancer care and support, anxiety, shingles, stress, bells palsy, phantom pain syndrome, digestive problems (IBS), musculoskeletal pain, migraines, sinus infections and more.

Foundational Movement Therapy™

Getting to the root cause of pain

Foundational Movement Therapy™ is a practice based on movements that illicit the tension systems of the body to neutralize. This is done by implementing FMT protocols that allow clients to become aware of their physical posturing from a moment to moment basis.

As we go about our daily lives, we begin to develop habits. These habits manifest themselves physically in each moment as we carry our bodies from one postition to the other. Whether we’re chronic slouchers or hip walkers, these ingrained habits start to become unconscious. By becoming aware of the “proper” way to carry ourselves through our daily movements, we can correct these unconscious postures and relieve pain at its core.

Massage Therapy

Nutrition

All of our clients meet 5 simple criteria

I. They want to balance their hormones naturally. They are interested in changing their lifestyle vs taking bio identical hormones and supplements.

II. They want a customized protocol and handheld support. They hire me because they don’t want to spend the time sifting through all the conflicting health and wellness information out there.

III. They are open to exploring every aspect of their lives, what’s working and what’s not working to maintain optimal health and vitality. They’re willing to get down to the root of their hormone imbalance and use it as a tool for deeper transformation in every aspect of their lives.

IV. They are willing to invest their time, energy and commitment to create the healing, the transformation and results they want.

V. They are lovers of quality (they want the best of the best). They want to heal through incorporating pleasure into their lives and are willing to try new recipes, practices and rituals. They’re willing to have fun in the process and make their natural hormone healing an enjoyable lifestyle.

Curious Rebel, RMT, Ayurveda, Traditional Thai
Women's Circle leader

Hello, my name is Mandi Mack. I teach busy women and men how to feel less stressed, more relaxed and empowered, through a fun combination of massage, yogic concepts and meditation. I believe that in each of us there is a healer, and all we need is a little encouragement to explore.

I’ve burnt out, trying to be and do too much; I was pulled in a million directions, spreading myself too thin. Through a tonne of trial and error and searching, I’ve come to realize many truths. I want to share what I’ve learned and help others thrive by inspiring their curiosity and providing tools to support their adventure inward.

My designations are Ayurvedic Marma-Therapist (marma are gateways for the mind, body and spirit) trained in Tongue and Pulse diagnosis, Thai Therapist and Massage Practitioner including Cupping and Scraping, Table Thai, Pregnancy, Plant Spirit Medicine, Yoga Instructor (200hrs) and Yoga Therapist (IYTA), Sports Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Quantum Touch, and I’m sure there are a few more I’m forgetting.

Dr. Maria Wristen, TCMD, RAc

Dr. Maria Wristen, TCMD, RAc

Traditional Chinese Medical Doctor, Registered Acupuncturist

Maria’s interest in natural medicine was sparked at a young age through the experience of seeing her mother suffer from chronic illness and the serious side effects of prescription drugs. She felt intuitively that there had to be a more natural approach to healing that would treat the whole person and not just their disease. It was while living in Japan that she learned about the therapeutic value of acupuncture. After developing environmental allergies and asthma and being presented with the option of using an inhaler, she decided to try acupuncture. She found the results so powerful not only with respect to allergies, but also in terms of overall wellness, that it altered her life’s path. Here was a gentle holistic therapy which stimulated the body’s innate healing mechanism. Maria felt so strongly about sharing the benefits of this ancient medicine that she decided to study acupuncture, and completed a four-year doctoral program in Calgary at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her education in Canada was followed with an internship at MianYang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in MianYang, China. . With this in mind, she believes in the importance of tailoring each patient’s treatment plan to their specific needs and wellness goals. Although Maria treats a wide range of health concerns, some of her special interests include treating headaches, sleep and stress , digestive health, depression, anxiety and women’s health.
